Lug to lug (or tip to tip) measurement is 48mm. The screw-in case back has the silhouette of an F-14 fighter jet etched into it. The iconic F-14 was manufactured by the Grumman company on Long Island and it was featured in the movie \u003cem\u003eTop Gun\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eInside the case is an NH38, 24-jewel automatic movement with \u003cspan\u003e21,600 \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cstrong\u003evibrations per hour.\u003c\/strong\u003e This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). The dial is unbranded like many of the vintage WWII offerings.\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cstrong\u003eThe Islander ISL-15 features a Type-B dial with a large 60-minute scale and a small 12-hour scale in the center of the dial. \u003c\/strong\u003eThe hour hand, minute hand, and dial markings are all treated with C3 SuperLuminova. The seconds hand is painted white.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e You will note that the dial has excellent visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThis model comes with a black leather strap with matching stitching.\u003c\/strong\u003e The buckle is signed (i.e. Islander logo). You can change up the look with a military-style nylon strap and any of our leather straps.
