The Autochron Reverse Panda Mecaquartz is a 38 mm racing chronograph that turns the classic high-contrast panda formula inside out. A matte black dial forms the backdrop for three crisp white counters with CD-track finish, SLC5 luminous indexes and vivid red chronograph accents. Black, white and red are used as tools: each counter stands out clearly, for immediate, motorsport-inspired reading.
The Autochron 2026 introduces a wider 38 mm aluminum bezel with 120 positive positions. Its unidirectional mechanism gives every adjustment a deliberate, tactile click. The 316L stainless steel case is polished and brushed, 12.65 mm thick and 44.3 mm lug to lug, under a double-domed sapphire crystal, and it is water resistant to 20 ATM.
Inside, the TMI VK67 meca-quartz chronograph combines quartz accuracy with a mechanical chronograph feel. It shows hours, minutes and small seconds, a 60-second chronograph with 30-minute and 12-hour counters, and the date in a window. The silver oxide battery lasts about three years. The story
The Autochron comes from the world of 1970s racing chronographs: a bold dial, contrasting sub-dials and a case built for daily use. It is offered as an automatic Valjoux 7750 or a mecaquartz chronograph, and it is one of the most accessible ways into Nivada Grenchen.
Nivada Grenchen was founded in Grenchen, Switzerland, in 1926 and relaunched in 2018 by Guillaume Laidet and Rémi Chabrat. Every model is a reissue from the brand's own archives, not a homage.
