In a nod to this revival, Nivada Grenchen is infusing its current collection with this distinctive orange hue. The new models will bear a few nuanced differences on the dial, discernible only to the keenest of eyes, to celebrate not only their storied past but also signal a vibrant, forward-thinking approach to watch design.
Housed in a 39mm stainless steel cushion case with 100 ATM (1,000m) water resistance, the Orange Depthmaster is powered by a Swiss automatic movement and pays tribute to Nivada Grenchen's legendary 1960s dive watch heritage.
The story
In 1965, the year after the Depthomatic, Nivada released the Depthmaster rated to 1,000 m, a serious tool watch in a sculpted cushion case. The reissue keeps that capability, with a helium escape valve, a screw-down crown and a unidirectional bezel.
Nivada Grenchen was founded in Grenchen, Switzerland, in 1926 and relaunched in 2018 by Guillaume Laidet and Rémi Chabrat. Every model is a reissue from the brand's own archives, not a homage.
