The story
The Super Antarctic is the modern evolution of Nivada's 1950s expedition watch, which the brand ties to the U.S. Navy's Operation Deep Freeze of 1955–56. It keeps the vintage-faithful 38 mm proportions and adds a screw-down crown and 100 m of water resistance for everyday wear.
Nivada Grenchen was founded in Grenchen, Switzerland, in 1926 and relaunched in 2018 by Guillaume Laidet and Rémi Chabrat. Every model is a reissue from the brand's own archives, not a homage.
