Runde Vintage draws inspiration from the clean, distinctive timepieces of the 1950s and 60s, combined with the warm earthy tones of the Norwegian coastline: weathered rocks, driftwood and the golden hues of late summer. The copper- and salmon-coloured dial, paired with a black subdial, creates depth, contrast and a timeless, warm aesthetic.
The Runde collection takes its name from the island of Runde, just off the coast of Ålesund, Norway. Known as “Treasure Island” after the gold and silver coins recovered from the Dutch ship Akerendam, which sank off its shores in 1725, the island is also Scandinavia's richest seabird colony. Every Runde dial carries a sunburst finish that changes character as it catches the light, and the watch is powered by a Swiss-made Ronda 1069 quartz movement for excellent accuracy with minimal maintenance.
